Snowflake Engineer

Data Engineering skills

• Experience in building and maintaining enterprise Data Lakes and\or Data Warehouses.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high performance data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake and modern data engineering best practices.
• Architect and optimize Snowflake data models, including schema design, data clustering, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, product teams, and business stakeholders to convert clear requirements into robust data engineering solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, and pipeline reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, development standards, and overall platform strategy.
• Work independently on complex tasks while also contributing to a collaborative, team oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake SQL, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Warehouses, RBAC, Clustering, and Performance Optimization.
• Strong expertise in SQL, modern ETL/ELT frameworks, and data pipeline development.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory and/or Airflow
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and distributed data systems.
• Proven ability to work independently, owning end to end solutions from requirement to deployment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, Databricks, Spark, or other big data processing frameworks.
• Background in enterprise data platforms with high volumes and strict SLAs.
• Experience implementing data governance, metadata management, and quality frameworks.
• SnowPro certification(s) a plus.
