This is a year-round full-time teaching position with flexibility to have summertime off. The work shift is 8:15a -3:45p, Monday to Friday with a pay rate of $18 – 20 depending on experience. This is an onsite role at our center location: 1118 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809

The Elementary Teacher Assistant for the classroom works with the Lead Teacher to plan and implements curriculum, serves as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for children. You’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, develop positive self-esteem and confidence, and support the growth and success of children.

What You’ll Do:

•    Responsible for teaching groups of students while modifying existing curriculum on basic subjects to meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans tailored to their specific needs. 
•    Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching 
•    Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth. 
•    Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed 
•    Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict 
•    Collaborate with the support staff to create intervention plans 
•    Inform parents about their children’s performance and potential problems

What We Need from You:
•    Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education and/or National CDA required 
•    1 - 2 years teaching experience (preferred)  
•    Must clear a full Level 2 background check 
•    First-Aid / CPR Certification required within 90 days of employment
•    Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed 
•    Effective in communicating with both students and parents to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
