Position Summary: The Executive Director of Resources, in collaboration with the Sisters of Charity Leavenworth (SCL) Leadership Team and the Executive Directors of Communal Life and Mission, will support the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Community as it focuses on sustaining its mission and charism into the future. The primary responsibility of the Resources Office is to oversee the coordination and communication of strategies and resources needed to implement the most recent SCL Chapter Directional Statement. The Resources Office, with dedicated staff, will oversee all operational and financial resources to sustain the mission of the SCL Community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work jointly with the SCL Leadership Team and the Executive Directors of Communal Life and Mission in the development of strategic direction and specific business strategies to achieve the vision of the SCL Community. Communicate strategic direction to staff and colleagues. Develop and implement clear and measurable operational goals and objectives, timelines and measures of performance, and a reporting process for accountability in the achievement of strategies for Finance, Information Technology, Facilities, and Campus Operations. Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with the Offices of Communal Life, Communications, and Mission to promote and advance the SCL mission. Establish and maintain relationships with outside collaborators, consultants, vendors, and service providers. Ensure adherence to Catholic Social Teaching regarding business and labor practices, reverence for persons and creation, and prioritization of the common good. Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal policies. Oversee select Human Resources functions as related to business operations such as payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. Oversee legal matters related to Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Inc., including all legal contracts, agreements, and proceedings. Supervisory Responsibilities: Finance Director / Treasurer: Accounting, Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable, Insurance, Investments, Real Estate, Fleet Management, and Purchasing Campus Operations Director: Housekeeping, Food Service Contractor, Transportation, Receptionists, Laundry, and Security Facilities Director: Power Plant, Maintenance, Buildings and Grounds (for all SCL-owned properties) Information Technology Director: Hardware, Software, Network Security, Audiovisual Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or related field; advanced degree in business or related field strongly preferred Minimum of seven (7) years strategic leadership with experience in leading operations, finance, strategic planning, human resources, information technology, or related disciplines required Five to seven (5-7) years in a supervisory position managing a team Essential Attributes: Understanding of and sensitivity to the life of Catholic women religious with ability to support the SCL philosophy of care, compassion, and concern. Understanding of and commitment to Catholic Social Teaching. Strong knowledge and commitment to SCL mission and Vincentian charism. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and verbal / written communication skills. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Highly effective communication and coaching skills including the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Able to create a team environment and work collaboratively. Able to create, modify, and implement structures based on a systems-thinking perspective. Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities. Capacity to use technology adequately and appropriately. Capacity to learn, understand, structure, and manage the above duties of this position. Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, negotiation skills, and personal initiative. Model ethical conduct and personal integrity. Knowledge of charitable nonprofit organizations. Ability to understand and implement solutions to complex issues. Results oriented with established track record. Physical Requirements: The ability to sit for extended periods of time and perform computer work. The ability to move around the office and perform tasks such as filing and retrieving documents. The ability to attend meetings in different locations within the campus. The position may also require occasional travel, which may involve sitting for extended periods on airplanes or in cars. Candidates should be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Candidates should have good vision and hearing, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Work Environment: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated, and ventilated office.
