Job Title: Phlebotomist



Location: New York, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract



Shift Details

  • Multiple shifts available
    • 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM (2 openings)
    • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1 opening)
    • 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (1 opening)
  • 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hrs/day, 5 days/week)
  • Monday–Friday + rotating weekends (every other weekend)
  • Holidays required

Job Summary

Looking for experienced Phlebotomists to perform blood collection and support lab operations in a hospital setting. Focus on accuracy, patient safety, and proper handling of specimens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary collections
  • Collect and handle specimens properly
  • Label and transport samples accurately
  • Follow patient identification and safety protocols
  • Maintain documentation
  • Follow infection control guidelines
  • Communicate with staff and patients
  • Keep work area clean and organized

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience (hospital/lab/blood bank)
  • Strong venipuncture skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Phlebotomy training required

Certifications

  • CPT (Phlebotomy Technician) – Required
  • AHA BLS – Required

Additional Info
