Job Description

As a Courier/Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of mail and packages to various locations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service that our customers expect. This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Experience in driving and handling mail is strongly desired.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting pay rate of $16.50 - $17.00 per hour

Hours & Logistics:

• Monday - Friday
• First Shift (7:00am - 4:30pm)
• Location: Downtown Tallahassee

Key Responsibilities for the Mail Courier / Driver Position:

• Collect and deliver mail and packages to and from specified locations.
• Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and packages.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Report any issues or delays encountered during delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Adhere to all assigned Work Instructions and participation in Quality Management Systemprogram as required.
• Backup onsite associate as needed.

Required Experience for the Mail Courier / Driver Position:

• Valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver; experience in mail delivery is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 pounds].
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
