Forensic Supervisor 2 – Autopsy Technician Supervisor
The Oregon State Police in Clackamas, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Forensic Supervisor 2 position. This is an in-office position without the opportunity for a remote or hybrid work schedule.

In this position, you will supervise autopsy technician staff and provide support for all morgue functions, in service of assisting and supporting the state forensic pathologists. This includes day-to-day supervision of morgue staff to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures; consistent service delivery; reviewing and establishing morgue procedures; maintaining morgue equipment and supplies inventory; and managing weekly autopsy technician work schedules.
As the Autopsy Technician Supervisor, you will interview and recommend hiring of new staff members; provide training for subordinates; evaluate subordinates’ performance; and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions to ensure adequate and competent staffing.
This position reports to the Medical Examiner Administrator and works closely with the Chief Medical Examiner and the Deputy State Medical Examiners.
Please Note: Prior to being hired with the Oregon State Police Medical Examiner’s Office, you will be required to participate in a full background investigation process which will include a Criminal History Check.
Four years of lead work, supervision, management, or progressively related experience in forensic science for an accredited laboratory;
A bachelor’s degree in natural science, physical science, forensic science, or a closely related field AND one year of experience managing in an accredited forensic laboratory;
A master’s degree in natural science, physical science, forensic science or a closely related field;
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
