Food Safety Technician



Location: Lakewood, NJ

Type: Contract-to-permanent

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 hourly (depending on experience)

Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday - Thursday, & Friday 8:00 AM-1:30 PM





Food Quality Control Specialist Job Duties:

• Inspect raw materials including ingredients for quality and compliance
• Monitor chocolate production processes such as mixing, molding, and packaging
• Conduct in-process and finished product quality checks for appearance, texture, flavor, weight, and consistency
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards
• Complete quality documentation
• Identify quality issues and work with production teams on corrective actions. Conduct sanitation and equipment inspections to ensure cleanliness and food safety
• Ability to assist with shipping and receiving duties as well.

Food Quality Control Specialist Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Experience in foodservice is preferred and some experience with doing quality control on food.

• Ability to learn operation of warehouse equipment

• Ability to assist with shipping and receiving duties.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

• Team-oriented, dependable, and punctual.
