Job Description
The total annual income will be between approximately $55,000 - $120,000 / year, depending on experience level. The hourly pay rate ranges from $25/hour for apprentice Boiler Technicians up to $57/hour for Level 5 Boiler Technicians. Seeking experienced Boiler Service Technicians for a large regional company that provides boiler maintenance service to industrial facilities. These positions are full-time and direct hire, with full benefits that start right away. Requirements: • Must have 3+ years of experience as a Boiler Tech, Maintenance Tech, or Facilities Tech, performing maintenance on boilers or similar systems for industrial and/or commercial customers • Veterans with experience as Nuclear Machinist Mates, Machinist Mates, or Enginemen are encouraged to apply • Must have both electrical and mechanical experience • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record with no major infractions • Ability to lock out/tag out, drain, operate, troubleshoot, inspect, and test hot water and steam boilers • Experience with preventative maintenance, lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, belt replacement, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting • Effective customer service and written/verbal communication skills • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs • This company will require a background check and drug screening after a job offer is accepted. • Candidates must currently be located in or near the North Charleston, South Carolina area. • This position requires advanced troubleshooting skills, extensive experience with dual-fuel burner setups and combustion tuning, and a deep understanding of control and motor wiring.

Responsibilities
- These positions may require overnight travel to customer locations within the region (potentially 1 or 2 nights per week when required)
- Perform maintenance/service on industrial boilers, heat exchangers, and other boiler plant equipment
- Inspect equipment to identify and diagnose operational problems
- Perform repairs and replace parts (gaskets, controls, etc.)
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair burners
- Install new low-emissions burners
- Retrofit boiler controls, including PLC, microprocessor, and instrumentation component/systems
- Commission, troubleshoot and adjust combustion on a variety of burners and boilers
- Document replacement parts required for repairs, and document repair services that were provided
- Request parts and materials needed to complete repairs/maintenance work
- Transport materials and parts to customer locations
- Document all activities and submit paperwork daily on all work performed
