Title: AV Design Engineer

Reports to: Director of Engineering

Coordinates with: Sales, Project Management, Architects

Purpose and Scope: The AV Design Engineer is responsible for the design aspects of the customer’s job, including development design, layout, and various audio/visual specifications. Our Engineers help our clients bring their ideas for their spaces to life and help our company run in the most efficient manner possible.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design digital spaces based on Client requirements
• Client scope and sales interface and walk through resource
• Determine infrastructure requirements to support the designs
• Pre-Build: Set up, configure, test, and support all audio and video systems in house
• Troubleshoot audio / video performance issues and maintain diagrams and documentation
• Provide extraordinary technical and/or analytic support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems of moderate to complex business communication systems
• Develop standards and maintain all systems, applications, and configurations
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by management

Education & Skills:

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or AV a Plus
• 2+ years' experience in AV Engineering
• Good working knowledge of audio-visual products from major manufacturers
• Proficiency control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layout
• Proficiency with modern digital signal processors regarding DSP configuration.
• Experience in D-Tools SI a plus
• 2+ years’ Visio and Cad experience

Experience:

• Audio Visual Design Engineer: 5 years (Required)
• AutoCAD: 3 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Cleveland, OH 44115: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
