Alumni & Fundraising Manager - Miami, FL Schedule: Part-Time (0.5 FTE)
Reports To: Senior Alumni & Fundraising Leadership (International Team)
About the Opportunity Excelon Associates Recruitment is partnering with an internationally expanding higher education institution establishing a U.S.-based global campus hub. This role will play a critical part in building and scaling alumni engagement and fundraising initiatives across the United States.

The Role The Alumni & Fundraising Manager will lead efforts to grow and engage a U.S.-based alumni and donor network. Working closely with an international leadership team, this individual will help establish alumni chapters, expand fundraising pipelines, and deliver targeted engagement initiatives across the U.S. market.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on long-term relationship building and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities Alumni Engagement & Community Development - Grow and strengthen engagement with U.S.-based alumni
- Develop and manage alumni chapters and interest groups nationwide
- Build and oversee alumni ambassador and volunteer programs
- Identify alumni for marketing, storytelling, and institutional promotion
Fundraising & Advancement - Support and execute fundraising strategies aligned with institutional priorities
- Identify and develop opportunities with:
- Foundations
- Corporate partners
- Individual donors
- Prepare and submit funding proposals and grant applications
- Lead targeted campaigns, including micro-fundraising and crowdfunding initiatives
- Build pipelines for both financial and in-kind contributions (mentorship, internships, speaking engagements)
Events, Communications & Campaigns - Plan and execute alumni events (virtual and in-person), including networking and engagement initiatives
- Contribute to alumni communications across newsletters, social media, and digital campaigns
- Coordinate marketing and event materials as needed
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement - Build relationships with internal leadership, academic teams, and external partners
- Engage employers, community leaders, and regional stakeholders
- Collaborate with recruitment and admissions teams to support broader engagement efforts
Operations & Project Management - Track engagement metrics and fundraising outcomes
- Manage budgets related to events and campaigns
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with strategic goals
- Maintain accurate records within CRM systems
Qualifications Required - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Alumni relations
- Fundraising / development
- Marketing or community engagement
- Strong experience managing events, communities, or stakeholder networks
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to work independently in a distributed/global team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
Preferred - Experience within higher education or nonprofit fundraising
- Familiarity with donor engagement and sponsorship models
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar)
- Budget tracking or campaign reporting experience
Additional Information - This is a part-time position with flexibility, but will require coordination across time zones
- The role may involve occasional evening or weekend commitments based on events
